Meet The Teachers!

Rachel Leach

Hi there! My name is Rachel Leach, and I am the director of SPLAT Art Camp! I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2014 with a degree in Art Education, and currently teach art in Columbia, MO. Creating art and teaching children to develop their own style and love for art is one of my biggest passions. I have been directing SPLAT Art Camp since 2014, and I have loved watching it grow over the years. The projects get better and better!

The imagination of a child is one of the most amazing things. Give them a way to express this and amazing creations happen! I have been blown away by some of the ideas and projects these kids have come up with. My love for art and a lot of the inspiration for Splat comes from painting with my grandma as a child. She would host painting classes in her basement, and I loved joining them any chance I got. My goal is for Splat to be a place where young artists can make new friends, have fun, and develop a love for creating.

I am so excited to help your children find their own love for art and have fun doing it!

Where is camp?

Camp is located in Rachel Leach's home studio located about 5 minutes from Rock Bridge High School. Once you have signed up for a class, you will receive a confirmation email with directions and more details.

What should I bring to class?

Please bring a paint shirt, snack, and water bottle. Campers will be able to choose a locker cubby for storing these things once they arrive. Please keep in mind we usually play outdoor games, and there is the chance of getting messy with art materials so play clothes are the best option. I have paint shirts to share as well!
